Two things are worth noting. Nearly 40 % of the gross figure is transport and disposal taxes — money we do not keep, but genuinely pay to cantonal facilities. And a quote is not an automatic tariff applied mechanically: step-free access and the absence of an attic genuinely reduced the work, and the price followed. That is precisely what a visit establishes, and what no estimate given over the phone can guess.
Why we are not the cheapest
Plainly: we are rarely the lowest quote in Geneva. If price alone decides, you will find cheaper. Here is what the difference buys.
- A licensed, declared business. Undeclared labour is widespread in this trade. We operate under a cantonal PCTN licence, so if someone is injured in your home the liability question does not arise.
- Waste actually processed. Disposal taxes are often a third of the bill. A markedly cheaper quote frequently means that item was never paid — and that part of your contents will end up somewhere other than a licensed facility. We give you the certificate.
- A fixed price, not a running meter. Quoted after seeing every room, cellar included, and it does not move.
- No subcontracting. The people who quote are the people who come.
- Sorting before disposal — the CHF 10.–/m³ item. It is what recovers the value that belongs to you.
